"Hellebore orientalis"

limited Edition of 100
Giclée on Archival Paper
15" x 11" - $145 Unframed

Hellebore orientalis. This plant is plucky. It sends out beautiful blossoms at the start of winter, just when gardens are losing pizzazz. Even though it is listed as "deer resistant", early buds may be nibbled occasionally.

Giclée (ghee-clay) is French for "to spray". In short it is a process whereby the original artwork is rendered digitally. Artists at the printery, or atelier, work with the image on a high resolution computer screen to get it completely accurate. Then the image is printed onto a substrate of either canvas or paper. My works are on museum-quality paper using archival inks. I limit my editions to 100 and often add gold leaf or bits of hand coloring.
